Babar Azam International Career, and His Net Worth

Babar Azam is a Pakistani Cricketer; he was born in October 1994 in Lahore. He is the Captain of the Pakistani Cricket team in all three formats and also a right-handed batsman. In PSL he plays as a player from Karachi King. He is also known as Bobby in His Team. He is a very classic and stylish player.

 He was interested in cricket and was a ball piker at Gadhafi Stadium in 2007. He started his career at the Domestic Cricket academy of Lahore. His father is Azam Siddique. His brothers are Faisal Azam and Safeer Azam. His sister is Arya Azam. His is the cousin of Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal, and Adnan Akmal.

International Career of Babar: 

He debuts his ODI match in 2015 against Zimbabwe. In 81 matches and 79 innings, he made 3810 runs and their highest score is 125 runs. Bobby made 13 centuries and 18 fifties. His ODI career includes 45 sixes and 350 fours. In Gadhafi Stadium he played his first ODI match. In the first match, he made 65 runs that help to won the match against Zimbabwe.

In Jan 2016, he made 63 runs against New Zealand. Unfortunately, Pakistan lost the match by 70 runs. In series against England in July he made 122 runs. Pakistan won this match. He made his debut in T20 against England in September 2016.

In Jan 2017, he completed the fastest 1000 runs against Australia. He made a century in this ODI and he became the second Pakistani batsman who made a century against Australia. Babar also became a top 10 batsman in the world. Babar Azam made back-to-back 3 hundred against West Indies in March 2017 and broken many records. Against India Azam made 46 runs in Champion Trophy in 2017. Pakistan won Champion Trophy against India.

In January 2018 Pakistan Played 5 ODI and 3 T20I against New Zealand. Unfortunately, Pakistan loses the ODI series by 5-0. But Pakistan wins T20I Series by 2-1. In April 2018 West Indies Tour of Pakistan, West Indies played 3 T20I in Karachi. Babar Azam made his T20I career-best scored against West Indies is 97 not out at National Stadium Karachi. In September 2018, he was selected for Asia Cup that was played in Abu Dhabi. He can’t play well in this Cup and he made only 160 runs in 5 matches.

In 2019, Baber was selected for the International World cup that is played in England. England won this Cup against New Zealand in Super over. Baber made 415 runs in the World cup in just 8 Matches. He also scored a hundred against New Zealand. After the world cup, in 2019 Pakistan played the home series against Sri Lanka in this series Pakistan played 3 ODI and 2 T20i. 

Pakistan won the series 2-0 in this ODI series Babar broken the record of Virat Kohli that is made the fastest 11 centuries in ODI. But unfortunately, Pakistan loses the T20i series against Sri Lanka. In this series, Misbah-ul-Haq first-time Coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team after losing the T20i Series Misbah-ul-Haq fired Sarfraz Ahmed in 2019 after Sarfraz left the team Babar Azam become a Pakistani T20i Captain.

 In his first T20I series as a captain against Australia in Australia, this was a very crucial and very tough series as a captain Pakistan loses this series by 2-0. After Sarfraz left the team Azhar Ali becomes a Pakistani Test captain. 

In January 2020, Babar wins their first T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore. Pakistan wins this series by 2-0. In March 2020, Cricket Matches will be canceled for 3 months causes Covid-19. In the August 2020 Pakistan tour of England, Pakistan played 4 tests and 3 T20I. Babar Azam as a captain in T20I defends the T20i series and series tied 1-1. 

In October 2020, Zimbabwe Tour of Pakistan In this series Babar becomes a Pakistani ODI Captain in his first ODI series as a Captain against Zimbabwe. Pakistan wins this series by 2-1. In this series, Pakistan played 3 T20I Babar is the captain of Pakistan and wins this series by 3-0. In December 2020, Babar becomes a Pakistani test Captain against New Zealand but unfortunately, Babar was injured in this series and Rizwan takes his side and plays as a Pakistani test captain and Pakistan lost this series by 2-0. 

In January 2021 South Africa Tour of Pakistan and Babar plays the first time in a test match as a captain in National Stadium Karachi. Pakistan wins this 2 match series by 2-0, and Pakistan also wins the T20I series by 2-1. In this series, Rizwan hits Hundred in T20I and becomes a Pakistani 2nd Batsman who hits hundred in T20I. In 2021, he played well against South Africa. Babar made a hundred in First ODI 103 and pick the Man of the Match trophy. Baber made 94 runs in 3rd, ODI against SA. In this match, Pakistan made 320 runs in 50 overs. South Africa team made only 292 score in 49 overs. Pakistan won the first ODI match against South Africa. The Second match won South Africa and the third match won Pakistan by 28 runs. Now Babar Azam is a NO 1 ODI batsman after this series.

 

T20 Career of Babar:

Babar Azam made his T20 International debut against England in September 2016 at Cardiff. His T20I cap no is 70 and his favorite Kit no is 56.

In his T20 career, he played 47 matches and made 1737 scores. Babar Azam made 16 fifties not made a century in T20 career. In ICC ranking he is on number 3, in T20 highest score is 97* against West Indies in 2017 at Karachi. In 2017 Babar becomes a number 1 T20i Batsman and he is in the number 1 position for 3 years.

In April 2021 Babar Azam wins the 4 matches T20i series as a captain against South Africa by 3-1. He hits a fabulous hundred in 3rd T20i he scored 122 runs. The highest runs in one inning of T20i for a batsman.

Test Career:

Babar made his Test debut in October 2016 against West Indies. He played 31 tests in his career and he made 2167 runs in test matches. He made 5 centuries and 16 fifties his career-best in tests is 143 against Bangladesh in Karachi. His average in tests is 44.22. In 2021 he becomes Pakistani test captain he won his first test series against South Africa in Karachi. He is a very fantastic and very good Player. He is also a Top 10 ICC Raking Batsman in tests.
